Peace to the People is a hub of inspiration for mind, body, business, and life.

Thanks for stopping by! 😊 My name is Kelli Hess and I am the founder of Peace to the People.

I’ve long had a multiplicity of passions, enthusiastic about education and finding the interconnectedness between subjects.

As a yoga and meditation teacher, artist, and entrepreneur, Peace to the People is the platform I’ve built to host hopefully helpful and inspirational information about the many things that bring me joy.

Personally, professionally. Everything is connected.

Originally, Peace to the People was created with a vague sense that it would grow into something more. Financially, my income came from teaching yoga and meditation full time at the many athletic clubs, corporate offices, and yoga studios I was affiliated with.

I will never forget a few like-minded women in the wellness community who looked at the hundreds of pages I’d built on my website, the hours and ultimately years I’d spent linking together all the quotes, lectures, playlists, humor, books, and affirmations that had made my life better in some way. I remember them asking, “Yes, but what do you sell?”

The truth? Initially and for many years? Nothing. 😆 I faithfully continued to build my business in the background, trusting someday my vision would at last come together with a sense of harmony.

Professionally, I’d long made a living as a webmaster, social media manager, content curator, blogger, and digital marketing specialist.

In love with Marie Forleo's term—"multi-passionate entrepreneur"—I enjoy seeing people embrace their many complementary strengths and skill sets—putting theories of nonduality and wholeness into implemented practice.

As a lifelong musician—a former first chair percussionist, pianist, and head drummer who won the Semper Fidelis Award for Musical Excellence the year I left home to start art school—I adore incorporating principles of rhythm, tempo, and intentional musicality into my work in all fields—whether its leading yoga classes, cycling classes, crocheting, or teaching clients how to create social media platforms driven by consistency, patterns, and thoughtful accents.

I owe much of my breadth to being a former nerdy Arts Scholars student at The Ohio State University— O-H!

As a lover of creativity, writing, and sociology, I graduated with a B.A. in Narrative, Culture and Representation with two minors: Studio Art and English.

I spent most of my twenties as a teacher and student—I am a RYT® 500, E-RYT® 200 Yoga Teacher specializing in Vinyasa Yoga, Mindfulness Meditation, Prenatal Yoga, and Yoga Nidra.
