(To pronounce Kelli's notoriously impossible last name, imagine an "off" in the middle. Schäffter. 😜)

If in our daily life we can smile, if we can be peaceful and happy, not only we, but everyone will profit from it.

This is the most basic kind of peace work.
— Thich Nhat Hanh

Kelli Schaffter is a 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher, certified Meditation Teacher, Barre Intensity® Instructor, iRest® Yoga Nidra Teacher-in-Training, and certified Spinning® Instructor specializing in vinyasa yoga, meditation, barre and cycling.

A lover of literature, social studies, and peaceful activism, Kelli uses her teaching to influence subtle societal change—to teach self-care practices and relaxation techniques to instill a deep sense of well-being and confidence in her students.

Kelli was initially drawn to teaching after studying meditation techniques, mindfulness practices, and the teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh at The Ohio State University

Creative, enthusiastic, and a wearer of many hats, Kelli graduated from The Ohio State University in 2013 with a B.A. in Women's, Gender & Sexuality Studies with a concentration in Narrative, Culture & Representation.

Passionate about creative writing and photography, Kelli also graduated with minors in Studio Art and English.

Kelli then graduated from the Yoga on High Teacher Training and Ayurveda Institute in 2015, earning her 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher certification.

She is also a certified teacher of Sekoia® yoga, a multi-sensory style of yoga that incorporates aromatherapy, restorative postures, vinyasa, vibrant music, reiki, pranayama and meditation.

Kelli is currently completing her 500 hour Registered Yoga Teacher Training in Columbus, Ohio with an emphasis on Meditation, iRest Yoga Nidra®, Prenatal Yoga and Vinyasa Yoga.

Teaching a wide scale of intensity, Kelli also leads several classes a week as a certified Spinning® Instructor and Barre Intensity® Instructor.

With a heavy emphasis on mind-body-breath connection and epic playlists, Kelli leads lighthearted and slightly hardcore cycling and strength training classes that build endurance and challenge your stamina.

In all classes, Kelli attempts to meet you where you are and have fun.

She enjoys infusing relaxation techniques and mental training skills while working out and fostering resiliency, peace, ease, and ever-increasing strength.

One to enjoy the present moment, she hopes to make each class a positive community experience, providing an atmosphere of support, non-judgement, and acceptance of yourself and others.

A former first chair percussionist, pianist and head drummer, Kelli places great importance on crafting specific playlists that shape the power and energy of each class.

She enjoys rhythmic vinyasa flows, cycling cadence drills, and moving to the beat of her own drum. (Zing!)
